I've probably tried to make it myself, and I bet I have a tip or trick for you. Clothing? Yep. Home Accessories? Uh-huh. Business Plans? You bet!
I've spent my life running small businesses and teaching people how to create. My happiest place is connecting people with the resources and tools they need to reach their goals. I can help you form a concrete plan for your business and see you through to that business being your main source of income.
I've also relaunched a few of my handmade products, formerly under the brand names Dear Cormorant and Black Mountain Craft, under my own name. You can see what I'm currently making over in the shop. Supernatural, my food brand, is on an extended hiatus.
Let me know what you're working on - I'd love to help you reach your goals!
I can help you legally form your company and identify and execute your brand identity and marketing plan. Some of the things we might work on include your logo, legal formation of your company, brand's "voice", social media presence, general web presence, product packaging, state and federal tax requirements, accounting advice, when to take on employees or interns, and more.
Anyone thinking about creating their own small business or already running a business can benefit from having a mentor to give them unbiased advice. Contact me to set up a session!
Please note: I am not a graphic designer, certified public accountant, nor a digital marketing expert. If you are looking for individuals with those skill sets, I have some great recommendations for you!
With previous experience running retail stores for companies such as Paper Source (San Jose, CA), Buffalo Exchange (San Diego and San Francisco, CA), Cupcake Jones (Portland, OR), Urban Outfitters (Houston, TX and Santa Cruz, CA), and Vespa SF (San Francisco, CA), I can help you create and execute an operational plan for your business. Some of the things we may work on include employee manuals, register procedures, job descriptions, management training, sales training, Point-Of-Sale software selection and training, inventory management, profit and loss statements, employee moral programs, and more.
With a reputation as a problem solver, I can also help you troubleshoot your current operations and create an action plan to turn things around!
Let me help you merchandise better and/or create dynamic displays for your booth or shop! With previous experience as the Assistant Visual Manager for Tootsies (Houston, TX), and merchandiser for a myriad of retail stores, I can merchandise anything from small vignettes to large department store windows.
I have created entire displays with nothing but printer paper and scissors and handled the responsibility of incorporating a $10,000 dress into a window display on more than one occasion. I can teach you about customer psychology in relation to where you place your products and why your hardest-to-sell items should always be to the right of the entrance. We can talk about how to create a booth for a market or fair that can break down to fit in the trunk of a sedan, but when set up looks like a million bucks.
Let's create awesome displays! Contact me to set up a consultation!
I have organized everything from tiny closets to Hoarders TV level homes and offices. I can work with you to sort through and organize just about any space in a way that is respectful and effective. I will also give you plenty of tips and tricks for keeping it up long term (hint: a little bit every day makes it seem like no big deal)!
